Spirituality and calm reign throughout this monastery, restored and turned into Galicia's First Monument Hotel. Built in the 10th century in the village of Leiro in the heart of the Ribeiro region, its beautiful cloisters are just some of its charming features, extensions built from the 15th century onwards and examples of Renaissance and Baroque styles. Where, in the past the black monks of the order of San Benito had there cells, today you will find the hotel rooms, decorated with fine materials and classical style furniture, rugs and canopies. By car from Vigo airport, take the motorway or road for Ourense, until you reach the turn-off in Ribadavia and follow it to Leiro. From Vigo /Ourense, take the A-52 motorway, then the Ribadavia exit towards Carballino. - The main Ribeiro wine bodegas for many miles around are 5 km away - 9 km from Ribadevia - and 10 km from the golf course
