The French capital is the most popular tourist
destination in the world, located in the northern part of the country, on the
banks of the Seine, it is a dream-city that
leaves no-one indifferent.
Paris, because of its activity, is the first city in Europe. It is the city of love: born on a small island in
the river Seine, it is the perfect destination
for couples; it is the city of light and colour: of adornments, particularly at
this time of the year. Paris
is set to captivate its visitors even more. It is one of the most glamorous:
the city’s nightlife takes place particularly around the most modern and
distinguished areas, the Champs Elysées or Montparnasse.
It is, moreover, an undeniable mixture of tradition and modernity: the
Cathedral of Notre Dame and the Latin Quarter,
the basilica of Sacré-Coeur and the boulevards.
Paris is a never-ending treasure in the quality of its luxury boutiques and
populated stores. One can buy jewels designed by Cartier, visit the prestigious
Coco Chanel boutique… In its markets, everything can be purchased, from
porcelain, foodstuffs such as cheeses produced the true, traditional way,
excellent wines, foies, Champagne, etc.
An excellent city for culture, art and architecture
enthusiasts, it has the largest number of monuments in the world: some 60 of
varying importance, splendid buildings, magnificent museums, sumptuous theatres
and richly filled libraries. There are numerous places of high importance and
world-wide recognition, amongst which we have the EiffelTower,
the unquestionable symbol of the city, built in 1889 for the Universal
Exhibition, it was considered a “steel monster” and was highly criticized by
artists of the period. It is currently the most visited place in the world.
The capital of the FrenchRepublic
is a fusion of times, a work of art in each street, in each building. The
building code that reigns in the city goes back to the 18th century
and has brushstrokes of each stage in history up to the present day. In the
centre of the city, a phenomenon known as “museification” is being created, an
attempt to preserve Paris
and its past history and which forbids the construction of any new buildings
within its limits.
Paris is a blend, it is cosmopolitan, a city of a thousand faces… a charming
city, one of the most beautiful.
The spectacle offered to the visitor is, undoubtedly,
inexhaustible.
