Arrabal, s/n Alquezar (Huesca) España
This centrally situated room provides views of the countryside and the great canyons of the river Vero. With special care, a sinuous Italian headboard has been used as have similar designs been used in the corners, and the bathroom of this room is painted with pictures of daily life in the fields.
We have produced a room with contemporary elements such as red methacrylate and steel, which side by side produce a special harmony with the old brick of the arches and with the antique cupboards which existed in the house.
This is a room in the colours of the grape and olive which are so characteristic of the area. The furniture and the beams of the ceiling are painted in a gentle shade of green in order to strengthen the colours of the bathroom, the carpets and wardrobe of old Aragonese cherry wood.
It is a fresh room, having a forged iron headboard to the bed which is typical of rooms for newly married couples in the higher Aragon area, and decorated in white and blue so typical of bedrooms in Alquézar. There is also an antique three piece suite. The room is done in a very Aragonese form with the bathroom in white marble and the wallpaper in tones similar to the water in the river Vero.
This room contains a large arch which supports part of the wall of the house and has been left as a rebate for the headboard of the bed. It is decorated in natural tomes and is painted with eye-catching forms by the French painter Amblar Pascal in tones to match the brick of the walls. Its large bathroom is in the same tones as those of the bedroom.
This modern bedroom is located in the dormer of the house and it brings us moments of great illusion with its large canopied bed of black forged iron in play with the decorative theme of the room, reminding us of the importance of iron in the manorial houses of Aragon.
Having inherited a French oak wardrobe, we wanted to give this room a splendid and elegant character. The bathroom contains a yellow and emerald green marble bath to match the silks in the bedroom.
