A historical hotel en Calatayud. This four stars hotel ows its name to the fact that it occupies a baroque building built in the XVIIth century, for many years a benedictine monastery. It was built by stone, ashlar and brick. Part of the main salon is a former church from the XIIIth century, which still preservs its monumental nature. According to the historians, this is the place of Saint Iñigo´s birth, benedictine monk and patron saint of Calatayud. The "Monasterio Benedicto"´s rooms are decorated in a nice style and have all the facilities of a four stars hotel, from minibar to Tv-set and satellite dish. Its restaurant "San Benito" has such an international menu as fthe delights of the regional cuisine, and its capacity is for 150 persons. This hotel is situated in Calatayud city centre, only few minutes away from the Piedra Monastery and close to the Augusta Golf Club in Calatayud. Notice: The hotel restaurant will be closed on Sundays evenings and on Mondays.
