Back to the urban core, the City of Arts and Science is a must-see for tourists. 350.000 square metres for culture promotion and recreational activities. This is an open space located in the old river bed of the Turia River which has caught the attention of the world due to its amazing architecture. The City of Arts is honoured to be the biggest cultural centre is Europe. The main buildings lead to two of the main Spanish architects: Santiago Calatrava from Valencia, with Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, the Hemisfèric, the Príncipe Felipe Museum of Science, the Umbracle and the Ágora (under construction) and Félix Candela, with the uniqueness of the covered areas in the main buildings of the Oceanography.

One of the latest cultural and recreational offers incorporated in Valencia is the Bioparc. This is a space focused on the environment, flora and fauna and it is a place where we can find “A piece of Africa in Valencia”. Going beyond the traditional concept of a zoo, this park has a strong objective and it is to teach visitors everything about the real animal habitat. This is a completely new concept known as zoo-immersion. This is one more reason to visit this city that is constantly on the move, changing and innovating.
