The massif lies in the Catalan prelittoral sierra and is made up by four main peaks: the Turó de l'Home (1706 metres), Les Agudes (1703 metres), the Matagalls (1697 metres)
and the Pla de la Calma. Its wood are in general broadleaved but are
also marked by diversity: Cork Oaks, Pines, Pyrenean Oak, Beech... The
fauna that might be spotted here include Badger, Edible Dormouse,
Pyrenean Brook Newt, European Common Frog, Aesculapian Snake and
Wild Boar. Visits can be made within the park to over a dozen hermits
and small Romanesque churches such as those of Montseny, Brull, Sant
Marçal, Sant Martí del Montseny and Aiguafreda de Dalt.
The foot of the massif is a half-an-hour car drive from Barcelona
along the A-7 motorway in the Girona direction as far as Sant Celoni.
The Parque Natural is crossed by a road and several paths.
