The Arts & Crafts experience at Casa Do Outeiro stems from the creative passion of its owner, Odete, who first discovered her interest in painting in 1999. During the hotel’s expansion works in 2003, the idea emerged to decorate the spaces with her own artworks, giving rise to a unique and deeply personal visual identity.

The concept of reuse and craftsmanship became the core of the project, transforming existing furniture and objects into one-of-a-kind pieces, and giving each room and corner of the hotel a distinctive handmade character.

As an extension of this philosophy, the hotel features an Arts & Crafts shop where guests can purchase handmade pieces created by the owner and other local artisans. In addition, in collaboration with regional associations, the hotel hosts workshops and exhibitions that celebrate different forms of artistic expression and creativity.
