Palacio Manco Capac occupies a historic residence in the San Cristóbal district of Cusco, built on ancient Inca foundations and linked to the city's history for centuries. Also known as Palacio Qolqampata, the property has been carefully restored to preserve the heritage of a building that has witnessed different periods of Peru's history.

The hotel is spread across two houses with ten rooms each. With just 20 rooms in total, it offers a more intimate-scale stay where architectural elements from different eras come together, from Inca and colonial heritage to Republican influences and contemporary details.

Just minutes from Cusco's historic centre, Palacio Manco Capac offers a different way to discover the Imperial City. After exploring its streets, markets, and monuments, the hotel's spaces provide a welcoming place to return to and rest after a day of discovery.

History

Palacio Manco Capac stands in the former Inca neighbourhood of Qolqampata, home to the remains of a palace traditionally attributed to Manco Cápac, the legendary founder of the Inca Empire. Over the centuries, this historic site has witnessed some of the most significant periods in the history of Cusco.

During the colonial period, the property was associated with Inca nobility and, later, during the Republican era, took on a new identity as an agricultural estate. Each period left its mark on the property, contributing to the character it retains today.

In 2015, part of the former Qolqampata Palace was restored and transformed into what is now Palacio Manco Capac. The project recovered the essence of the building and some of its historic features, giving new life to a place whose past remains an integral part of the experience of staying here.
