Restored with the work of local designers and artisans, the villa preserves original features such as its mosaics, stucco details, and terracotta floors, keeping the spirit of the original house alive.

With just 20 rooms, Villa Barranco retains the scale and atmosphere of a private residence, balancing vintage-inspired details with a carefully considered aesthetic. Some rooms on the upper floors feature private balconies and privileged views over the Costa Verde and Pacific Ocean.

History

The story of Villa Barranco began in the 1920s, when two twin mansions were designed by Polish architect Ricardo de Jaxa Malachowski. With their tiled roofs, ornate façades, and distinctive central tower, the buildings gradually became one of the most recognisable landmarks in Barranco.

Recognised by the Peruvian government and declared a National Monument in 1987, the mansion has been carefully restored to recover its original splendour. Sculpted façades, mosaic floors, and decorative details have been brought back to life by local artisans, who even recreated lost elements based on the original designs.

Today, the two former mansions once again form a single space, transformed into a boutique hotel that preserves the spirit of this historic residence and a remarkable part of Lima's architectural heritage.
