What is the Paris Garden Festival?

For one weekend, Paris opens the gates to its gardens and green spaces to celebrate the Fête des Jardins, an annual event that invites visitors to discover the natural richness of the French capital and the importance of its green spaces.

On 26 and 27 September 2026, more than 150 parks, gardens, and other natural spaces across the city will take part in the celebration with a wide programme of free activities. An opportunity to explore some of Paris's most iconic green spaces and discover others that lie beyond the usual tourist routes.

The programme is designed for all ages and interests, offering different ways to discover the city. Activities include:

• Demonstrations
• Nature walks
• Biodiversity activities
• Meetings with gardeners
• Family-friendly activities

A programme that celebrates and highlights the natural spaces woven throughout the city. 

Hôtel Observatoire Luxembourg: where to stay during the Fête des Jardins
